Xian Jiaotong University is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. The XJTU has three campuses namely Xingqing, Yanta, and Qujiang which spread over 250 hectares of land. The Qian Xuesen Library has more than 5 million books. 4,100 current periodicals, 30,000 electronic periodicals along with over a million electronic books.
The Medical School of Xian Jiaotong University was founded in 1937 under the name of School of Medicine of National Peking University and then renamed Xian Medical University in 1985 and then to Xian Jiaotong University after getting affiliated with XJTU in April, 2000. Additionally, it the only top medical science school directly attached to the Ministry of Health in the Northwest region and to the Academy of Medical Science in China. The core values Xian Jiaotong University are Unity, Diligence, Preciseness and Innovation.
